Shaz Unique Catering & Services, managed and
operated by Shaz Amin.
Shaz Amin has made his mark in the food service industry in Ottawa’s
most prestigious venues for the past twenty years.
He was Operations Director of Executive Dining Room and Hospitality Services at
the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade as well as The Official
Government Guest House at 7 Rideau Gate for thirteen years. During this period,
he arranged and oversaw all official events held on the renowned 9th Floor of the
Lester B. Pearson Building, from simple breakfast meetings of senior bureaucrats
and diplomats to more challenging events such as the Prime Minister’s official luncheons,
First Ministers’ Meetings and Cabinet Retreats; he organized, supervised and catered
them to perfection.
At 7 Rideau Gate, The Official Government Guest House, visiting dignitaries enjoyed
hospitality services second to none during their official visit and stay in Ottawa.

Shaz Amin was the managing administrator of one of Ottawa’s most
prestigious restaurants, Le Jardin, a Five-Star French-Cuisine Restaurant in the
heart of Byward Market ( 1986 - 1990 ).
Shaz Amin Inc. was founded in 2000. During the past five years " Shaz " has been directly involved with providing catering and
consulting services to many government departments such as The Prime Minister’s
Office, Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and Canadian International
Development Agency.
In the fall of 2004 " Shaz Unique Catering &
Services " was
established with a mandate to provide unique, detail-oriented, fine catering and
related services to Diplomatic Missions, Corporate Offices, Federal, Provincial
and Municipal governments as well as weddings, birthdays, other special events for
private individuals in Ottawa and its neighboring communities.
